For the past 34 years, graduation night has been a special occasion for the seniors of Robeson County Schools.
Project Graduation is dedicated to making a safe, drug-free, and fun-filled evening that will long be remembered by all who attend. The event takes place at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke campus with free food, music, games, and a host of other entertainment. Students from all seven high schools are given tee shirts, and prizes, and have a chance to win a United Way scholarship. Lumber River United Way awarded six $1,000 scholarships to graduating seniors that are college-bound in the fall.

The event is sponsored by many individuals and companies who contribute the money needed to make the event a success at no cost to the students. On the night of Project Graduation, volunteers from throughout the county come together to provide the labor needed for the production of food, games, decoration, entertainment, and a double dose of fun, in a safe and drug-free environment.
