From an early age, Margaret’s Granny taught that those with talents should work to make the world a better place rather than profit from them. With work ranging from serving on the board of a children’s shelter as a teen, working with people with disabilities in college, to founding a Rape Crisis Center, to volunteering with state and national reproductive justice organizations, to her current work with Lumber River United Way, she has tried to live up to those lessons. Margaret’s primary mission is to ensure that all people have access to the resources they need and have agency over their lives and bodies.
