Volunteer

On the frontline of the fight for our community are thousands of volunteers who bring LIVE UNITED to life by giving selflessly of their time and talents to create lasting solutions and improve the quality of life for all of us who call  Bladen, Dillon, Hoke, and Robeson Counties home!

Whether it’s reading to children, serving meals to those in need, manning the registration desk at a shelter, or being part of the annual Day of Caring, there are hundreds of ways to roll up your sleeves and make a difference!

United Way partners with UNCP's Office of Community and Civic Engagement to showcase volunteer opportunities throughout our service area. UNCP Serve provides one portal for all volunteer needs and a central hub for volunteers seeking opportunities.

We rely on volunteers to assist with fundraising and Community Impact Fund decision-making. Fundraising volunteers assist during the Annual Campaign while Allocation Review Committee members Bladen, Dillon, Hoke, and Robeson Counties serve to make sure those donated dollars are well spent in their community.

In addition, a number of other special committees meet throughout the year to plan such events as the Lucky Duck Derby and more.

The cornerstone of our volunteer efforts is the annual Day of Caring which mobilizes hundreds of people in Bladen, Dillon, Hoke, and Robeson Counties to work first-hand with the United Way and our network of partner agencies to make a difference!
